Plant replacement
Replacing your air conditioning (AC) unit can be necessary for various reasons, including age, energy efficiency, or damage. Give us a call, as we can help you to develop a like-for-like or totally new, more energy-efficient plan. If it's not time for a full plant replacement, we offer comprehensive air conditioning servicing and repairs.
There are two options for a new AC system:

Option 1
You replace your old system with new AC equipment.
Option 2
Alternative modern refrigerant is used to top them up. This will normally involve having to replace parts of the current AC system.

Things to consider when looking at plant replacement
-
Age
AC units typically last around 10-15 years. Older units may become less efficient and more prone to breakdowns. -
Energy efficiency
Newer AC units are generally more energy-efficient, which can save you money and the environment. -
High repair costs
If you're spending a lot on repairs for your AC unit, it might be more cost-effective to replace it with a new one. -
Lack of spare parts and refrigerant
As your AC unit ages, it may become difficult to find replacement parts for repairs of older units. Also, as of 2015, it was made illegal to use Hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), including the ozone-depleting refrigerant gas R22, in refrigeration. More and more refrigerants over time will become obsolete or illegal. -
Consider your budget
New AC units can vary in price, so determine how much you can afford to spend, and Impact will provide a comprehensive solution to fit your budget and needs
A replacement process that keeps disruption under control
Our replacement work starts with understanding how your current plant serves the space day to day. We look at capacity, condition, refrigerant type, access, and the practical demands of the site before recommending the next step. That matters in large commercial settings where poor cooling can affect your comfort, equipment, and productivity.
We are F-gas accredited, SafeContractor approved, and registered with the Environment Agency, so compliance is built into the job from the start. With Impact PM Ltd, you get a straightforward approach that focuses on safe removal, correct installation, and dependable aftercare.
